Thanks so much for selecting The Grooming Loft for your dog grooming needs and we look forward to seeing you for your upcoming appointment. We are accommodating our drop off and pick up procedures and a few other policies.
A friendly reminder that timeliness is extremely important and appreciated. I am fitting in as many appointments as possible and if you are late, I may not be able to take you. I have implemented extra cleaning protocols in the salon between dogs, which is another reason timing is everything.
Please understand that in order to prevent unnecessary stress for our furry friends, please do not stay for your pets grooming appointment or arrive too early before the scheduled pick up time. Sometimes those 10-15 minutes is needed to do the final finishing touches. If you show up early, your dog will become excited and may not allow us to finish the cut the way you want it to be done.

DROP OFF
When you arrive please pull up in front of the front door. Parking is limited but this space can accommodate an easy drop off and pick up.
When you arrive please be sure your dog is leashed. You may come into the salon to drop off or I can come out curbside to get your dog. For curbside service, please call 607-752-0966 to let me know of your arrival and I will come and get your dog at the door or at your car.
We can discuss what services you would like and I will call you to let you know when your dog is all set to be picked up.
PICK UP
For pick up, the procedure is the same as drop off.
I am more than willing to meet you outside if you prefer. For curbside service, please call 607-752-0966 to let me know of your arrival and I will bring your dog to the door or out to your car.
Because of limited kennel space, all dogs must be picked up at the latest 30 minutes after we inform you that your dog is completed with grooming. If you are unable to come pick up your dog within the 30 min, we do charge a Day Care Fee $10/every 15 minutes until you pick up the dog.
If your schedule changes, please call first instead of dropping by. (This will help keep us on schedule as well).
BELOW ARE OUR EVERYDAY GROOMING POLICIES
PAYMENT: is due at time of service. We accept Cash and Credit only.
VACCINATIONS: Your pet must be current with their vaccinations to ensure the safety and well-being of all our customers and is REQUIRED to be up to date on their Rabies vaccination in order to receive grooming services. Owners are required to bring a physical copy of their dog’s current rabies vaccinations.
CANCELLATIONS: You must call 24 hours ahead of time to cancel your appointment so that we have a chance to fill the spot.
GROOMING QUOTES: Pricing is based on breed, coat condition, size, temperament and type of haircut. Quoting a price of a groom can be very hard since there are many different factors that go into this process. Once we start working on your dog we might notice things we were not aware of and there could be an extra charge. The most common reason a price goes up is because of matting. We will always try to point out any extra charges when you drop off, but sometimes we don't catch it until we start the grooming and will do our best to notify you.
NO SHOW | NO CALL | FREQUENT TARDINESS: If you are running late, please call the salon and see if something can be worked out. If you are later than 15 minutes for your appointment we will have to reschedule your appointment.
POTTY PLACE: Please make sure to have your pet do his/her business before the grooming. Please clean up after your dog out of respect for our other tenants. Doggy bags are available by our door.
SATISFACTION: If for any reason you are not satisfied with our services, please tell us within 2 business days so we can try our best to correct it. Please don't hesitate to tell us if something is not right, too much cologne, the face is left too long, nails not done, you wanted the cut shorter or longer, etc. Our goal is your satisfaction; we take great pride in our work and want you to as well. The more we know about how you want your dog to look, the closer we can get it to be what you want. Sometimes it takes a few visits for both of us to be on the same page for the cut style.
AGGRESSIVE DOGS: We are more than willing to try and groom any dog. At our discretion however, we do reserve the right to refuse service to extremely aggressive dogs. We work hard to provide a low stress setting, but if your dog becomes aggressive or stressed out, we will stop the grooming and you would only be charged for the amount of time put into the grooming. If a dog is difficult to handle, tries to bite or can't stand an additional charge will be added due to the additional time that is needed to groom the pet. If biting persists it will be necessary to use a muzzle.
SENIOR DOGS: We love our senior pets, but if at any point during the groom they become too stressed, we will not continue to groom even if they are not finished. If the grooming process becomes dangerous to your elderly dog's health, we ask that you understand if we feel we cannot groom him/her any longer. We will only charge for the time we spent.
FLEAS & TICKS: The Grooming Loft is a flea free salon. If we find fleas, we will immediately give a flea bath to prevent the spread to other pets in our care. There is an additional charge for this service. If your pet has a severe case of fleas we will notify you to pick up your dog. A clean up fee will apply and you will be charged for the grooming that was completed. If we notice a tick on your dog while grooming, we will attempt to safely remove it and inform you at pick up.
PHOTOGRAPHS: Photos of your pet will be taken for our client records and maybe used on our website/social media pages. All photos taken are the property of The Grooming Loft LLC but can be shared with you as well. We will be happy to remove any photos from our website/social media pages at your request if you are displeased with the photos for any reason. We strive to only show your pet looking their best.
